MHW isn’t really better than MHR. Both games excels in their own rights. MHW has a better immersive environment while lacking diversity in combat and movesets and Rise has better fighting/combat and movesets but lacking on the immersive experience.

My first MH Experience is MH Rise. I played MH Rise first because I just got Switch and it is the free game the seller attach to the console. I kinda like it, playing for like 35 hrs until early High Rank, then buy MHW, and oh boy isn't it noticeably harder. Even with 35 hrs prior experience in MH Rise, my ass was handed by Anjanath in the Low .

Kushala is a monster that I wanted to learn after seeing so much hate against it. The "correct" way to fight it is to hit the head, sure, but it's a little harder to head flinch it with early game gear, from what I can tell, you don't really have endgame meta builds, so you have to manage to understand his move set.
